Ayurveda: Healing Principles and Daily Practices with Alana Greenberg, April 29 – 30, 2017

Ayurveda, Yoga’s sister science, is India’s traditional health-care system that adheres
to the organic pulsations and bio-rhythms of nature. It offers common sense
approaches to wellness and longevity with natural, safe and effective remedies,
empowering us to maintain our own vibrant health. How? This workshop will demystify
Ayurvedic Medicine by exploring its philosophical roots and guiding
principles.
We will cover: Samkhya philosophy; the Five Elements (Earth, Water, Fire,
Air and Ether); the 3 Doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha constitutional types); how to
adapt Yoga Asana and Pranayama to balance the Doshas; Agni and Ama (digestive
fire and toxicity); and Dinacharya (daily self-care practices and lifestyle choices) that
nourish and balance our unique constitution.
